TRADITIONAL LONDON PUB & SCULLERY
Inn 1888 is a beautiful Victorian pub in Devonshire Street standing proudly just off the buzz of Marylebone High Street. Built in 1898 originally called The Devonshire Arms it has unfortunately over the years under gone several re-incarnations. However after a recent pub refurbishment great care was taken to preserve the remaining original features and thankfully many of the majolica wall tiles, original etched mirrors and the beautiful half stained glass windows depicting the words “Fine Wines” & “English Country Ales” still maintain the ambiance of a traditional Victorian pub. With two open fires it is one of the best places to be on those cold winter nights.
It has a large basement which was used as a firing range by the Ministry of Defence during both world wars, with Devonshire Street also being mostly destroyed during the second world war Inn 1888 remained largely undamaged.
As a free house there is a diverse drinks offer of four real ales and ten draught beers, supported by a premium range of spirits with a strong presence of London Gins and a fine wine list offered by the glass or the bottle.
There is also an exciting food offer from Cannon & Cannon with the best available British cured meats and cheeses from Paxton & Whitfield as well as some of the traditional pub favourites all using the finest British produce available.
